    Shading Techniques

    (The Nine Techniques)

              In this exercise, we use bond paper, pencil, eraser and ruler. We draw trees in the bond paper and apply the nine shading techniques. Those nine techniques include horizontal, vertical, diagonal, cross, zigzag, spirals, circles, dots, smudge, and combination. We apply it to the tree were they have different characteristics and execution.

                In this exercise, I’ve learned the nine shading techniques were we apply it on the drawing. In those techniques, they have different characteristics and the way they execute properly. They give more life and details in the drawing. With this nine technique, it’s up to the students what techniques they preferable to use.
